Ambassador Seid 🇵🇼 as #PSIDS Chair delivers a statement at the opening of the INC-2 plenary session

Ambassador Seid and Palau team as #PSIDS chair at the INC-2 plastics treaty negotiations. INC-2 closed successfully after many long nights and negotiations and gives the chair the mandate to create a zero draft for the treaty. Thank you to all who supported the Chair’s team!

#PSIDS chair Ambassador Seid attends a lunch hosted by #Australia Minister The Hon Tanya Plibersek and attended by US, UK and NZ Ministers and Ambassador partners, as well as SPREP and Cook Islands to collaborate on the plastics treaty negotiations. Also wishing Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme - SPREP DG Sefa a very happy birthday in Paris!

#PSIDS Chair Ambassador Seid, PSIDS climate and ocean coordinator Gwen Sisior, Counsellor Charles Reklai, AOSIS fellow Ianthe Douglas and summer intern Christine Tellei traveled to Paris to lead the PSIDS prep meetings for the InC-2 plastics treaty negotiations for a legally binding instrument to address plastics pollution under UNEA.
